Data disclaimerFor information and research only. These are annual public-source observations and may be revised, delayed, unavailable, or differ from figures published directly by a national central bank because of methodology and reporting dates. Derived gold/non-gold values are analytical estimates, not official gold tonnage. Verify current figures with the relevant central bank or IMF before making financial, legal or policy decisions.

* Gold share is derived only when same-year total reserves and reserves excluding gold are both valid. Non-gold share is the complement of that value and is NOT a pure USD-currency share. Share changes are percentage-point changes.

Часто задаваемые вопросы

Are these live central-bank reserves?

No. These are annual World Bank WDI observations sourced from IMF International Financial Statistics. Each row shows the reporting year so older observations are not presented as live data.

What does total reserves include?

The World Bank total-reserves series includes monetary gold, special drawing rights, IMF reserve positions and foreign-exchange assets controlled by monetary authorities.

How is the gold value estimated?

When same-year total-reserves and reserves-excluding-gold observations are both available, the tool displays their difference as an estimated monetary-gold value component. The two indicators are fetched together from the same WDI API response. This is not gold tonnage or a separate official central-bank gold series.

How often is the source data requested?

The Toolardo server keeps a successful dataset for about 30 days. Normal visitors use that cache rather than triggering a World Bank request on every page load.
